Generally, it has been taken for granted that people are more satisfied when doing similar task all day long. Obviously, it is not the case, because it often leads to tiredness and boredom. Therefore, from my perspective, people should take different tasks, which brings more satisfaction, with reasons as follow.
Of all reasons leading to my preference, the social benefit is the most rudimentary. More specific, doing different tasks could bring a larger social network, which enables you make more friends. And those friends would help you when in trouble. A good case in point is my sister, a lawyer in China, who used to do different task in one day. And then, she made a lot of friends who helped her a lout when she was in difficulties. Compared with her colleagues, she obtained more satisfaction because of her friends. Different tasks are so important that she could get confidence and help. Without it, she would be not so satisfied. Therefore, the experience of my sister clearly shows that different tasks could lead to satisfaction.
In addition to social benefit, the professional benefit is also well worth mentioning, because different tasks provide chances to practice different working skills. Once your working skills improve, working satisfaction will increase. It is well illustrated in the case of my father, a successful businessman, who also do different tasks. So he has practiced different kinds of working skills, such as filing, communication, management, etc. Therefore, the working satisfaction increased. Consequently, my father’s experience proves that different tasks could result in working satisfaction.
Often neglected but no less important, the defects of doing similar tasks are also applied to explain my preference. When people do same tasks all day long, they are definitely feeling bored and frustrated, because of repeating. Once they feel bored and frustrated, they will lose satisfaction in job. If they take different tasks, they will feel fresh and energetic.
Simply put, it is quite safe to draw conclusion that people should do different tasks to achieve satisfaction, because it benefits people socially as well as professionally.
